Welcome to Call of the Canine Dog Training Center
Our experienced and caring staff bring motivational, science-based methodologies to the dog training classroom, ensuring dog owners have fun teaching their dogs and continue building loving relationships with them.
What we offer:
- Off-leash Puppy Socialization Programs (only training center in Ottawa) optimize your puppy’s social skills with humans and other dogs
- Life Skills are a series of group classes to promote good basic manners for doggies of all ages
- Behaviour Support with individual consultations and/or group behaviour modification classes
- Specialty Classes (Agility, Hoops & Shoots, Brain Games etc…) increase mental and physical skills and build confidence.
Call Of the Canine Dog Training Center acknowledges that our Training Center, located in Ottawa, is on the unceded, unsurrendered Territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation, whose presence here reaches back to time immemorial. We also honour the historical relationships of this community with wild and domestic animals and commit to these values when interacting with the many dogs that enter our premises.
In keeping with Canadian First Nations’ traditional beliefs of interconnection between animals and humans, all staff at Call of the Canine understand animals, including our domestic dogs, are equitable partners in our social network, animated with spirit and an ability to communicate in a meaningful way. Gifts bestowed by our dogs and other animals can assist in healing the human body and spirit. The natural evolution of the human species is embedded in healthy relationships with the land and all its inhabitants. We provide services to you and your dog/s in support of this assumption and again reiterated by the philosophy of Dr. Ian Dunbar, Dr. Marc Bekoff and Jane Goodall.
