About Us

With over forty years of experience, Cheryl Smith has been at the forefront of the paradigm shift in the dog training discipline.

Her search for innovative and effective methods brought her into contact with many of the early experts in the field such as Job Michael Evans and Jack and Wendy Volhard. Meeting Dr. Ian Dunbar was a turning point in her career. The proverbial ‘lightbulb’ exploded and resulted in a lifelong association. She was the first to provide a practical format and curriculum for Behaviour Modification for dogs that previously had routinely been recommended for euthanasia. Her new programme resulted in a sponsorship by Dr. Dunbar to promote and provide expertise to other trainers in the field.

She conducted many successful seminars in Canada, United States and elsewhere to spearhead the shift in the resolution of problem behaviour. Her expertise in the area of dog behaviour has been utilized by the Courts in Ontario, Quebec and in Yellowknife.

Cheryl continues to explore innovative ways to increase her knowledge and remain at the forefront of canine behaviour. She is a graduate of Earning The Light program (8th Fire Inc.) and currently continuing her training with Pete Bernard in The Way Of The Medicine Keeper.

She and her team look forward to sharing their expertise that is driven by their desire to bring your relationship with your dog to its fullest potential.
